CONTENTS

Here you will find a general overview of what you are going to learn.

YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • understand a wide range of demanding, longer clauses, and recognize implicit meaning (oral and written).
  • express your ideas fluently and spontaneously.
  • use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  • produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

 

GRAMMAR

  • Nouns, pronouns and noun groups. Revision, extension and deepening from B2 (compound forms, derivation, preffixes, suffixes…).
  • Adjectives and determiners. Revision and extension from B2 (e.g. adjectives in -ing, three or more adjectives together, -able, -al, -en…)
  • Adverbs. Revision and extension from B2 (e.g. probability, a bunch, a load, a bar…)
  • Verbs and verbal tenses. Revision and extension of all verbal tenses till B2.
    • Mixed conditionals in the past
    • Narrative tenses
    • Passives. All types and tenses
    • Phrasal verbs, extended
  • Prepositions. All types.
  • Coordinate and subordinate clauses. All types
    • Inversions.
    • Collocations.

VOCABULARY

Revision, extension and deepening of all the topics in B2.

  • Describing people in detail (including yourself)
  • House and environment in detail (furniture, household chores, parts of the city…)
  • Free time and leisure: Describing activities in detail.
  • Travel. Means of transportation: Countries, different ways of travelling, necessary things for moving…
  • Human and social relationships described in detail: going out with, getting on well/bad, acquaintance, owner, argue, cohabitation…
  • Health and physical care: Parts of the body, doctor’s appointment, describing diseases
  • Education: objects, environment and actions (e.g. stapler, emergency exit, sign up…)
  • Shopping. General and specific environments (shop/mall…), prices, sizes, actions (offer, reduce…) objects (label, purse…)
  • Food and drink. Tools (frying pan, tablecloth…), actions (boil, chop…), ingredients.
  • Goods and services. exchange money, open up a bank account, public services…
  • The weather, environment and nature.
  • Science and technology. Computing, image, social networks…
  • Sayings and collocations.

SCHEDULE

You can choose between:

  • English B2 on  Mondays and Wednesdays at 08:00 or 18:00 Berlin (16:00 or 02:00 Sydney), and
  • English B2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 Berlin (19:00 Sydney).

PRICES

COURSES and LESSONS:

  • Levels C1 and C2. Proficiency. (From 5th year school):
    • Group lesson (maximum 4 persons): 6,50 €/lesson (10,18 AUD).
    • Semi-private (2 persons): 8 €/lesson (12,53AUD).
    • Private lesson (only one person): 14 €/lesson (21,92 AUD).

 

TEXT/HOMEWORK CORRECTION:

  • Levels C1 and C2: 0,06 € per word (0,094AUD/word).
