How to sign up or hire a service

Here you have the steps to follow if you have happily decided to use our services.

How to sign up for a complete course with group lessons:

  1. If you are still not a member, please register here.
    1. If you are already a member, please log in.
  2. Go to page “Courses/lessons” and click on the main page of the language you need or directly select your level from the drop-down menu.
  3. Go to “Schedule” and decide which group fits you better. All courses have 2 lessons per week: either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. 
  4. Send us an email to translatemate.eu@gmail.com indicating your data and the course you want to sign up for. You can use this sample mail: Sample mail to sign up a standard course. (Do not forget to give us your Skype name, so we/your tutor can add you to our contact list).
  5. We will send you an email with all the information. The following cases may occur:
    1. Success! The selected days and time are still available. We will send you your contract. Read it quietly. (Remember you have to sign up for the complete course -see the terms-). If you agree on all terms, sign it and send it back to us*. We will tell you how to pay.
      1. *Just print the last page, sign it and send it scanned to translatemate.eu@gmail.com or
      2.   *in case you do not have access to a scanner, print the last page, sign it take a photo and send it to the email address above.
    2. The course is already full. We will let you know other possibilities.
    3. There is still not enough people in this group. We will let you know when the group is complete and we will give you other possibilities just in case you need to start quick.

How to create your own group:

  1. You need a minimum of 3 persons to arrange a new group. You have to book a minimum of four lessons. 
  2. All members must be already registered. You can register here.
  3. One of you has to be the spokesperson. It doesn’t matter who. The spokesperson is just a mediator and will not take any responsibility in case another member of the group does something wrong.
    1. (In our example, we will take “Peter Martínez” as the spokesperson).
  4. Send us an email to translatemate.eu@gmail.com indicating that you want to create a new group. Please use this sample mail: Sample mail to create a new group. (Do not forget to give us all your Skype names so we/your tutor can add you to our/their contact list).
  5. We will send you an email with all the information. The following cases may occur:
    1. Success! Your selected day(s) and time(s) are still available and you decide to sign up.
      1. Make sure that all members of the group are already registered. Ensure that you provide us with your real personal data so that we can manage your contracts properly.
      2. We will send you your contract separately. That means, each person sign their own personal contract, so you won’t take any responsibility if another member of the group breaches the rules. Read it quietly. (Remember you have to sign up at least for 4 lessons -see the terms-). If you agree on all terms, sign it and send it back* to us. We will tell you how to pay.

        2.   *in case you do not have access to a scanner, print the last page, sign it take a photo and send it to the email address above.
    2. Your selected day(s) and time(s) are not available. We will let you know other possibilities in case you need to start NOW or we will tell you from when on your selected schedule will be available again.

How to have your text/homework corrected

  1. Please be sure you are registered so we can contact you easily. Let us know your level (or year) of learning.
  2. Send us an email with your text attached to translatemate.eu@gmail.com. Use this sample mail: Sample email for a correction.
    1. Once we have received your text we will count the words and send you the information about the total costs by email. It will look like this:
      “Hi Pepi:

Your text has 150 words and your level is A1. Your correction will cost 3 €. If you pay outside Spain you will be charged extra 0,04 € on payment fees. That makes 3,04 €)

– I agree on the price and terms. Please send me the payment request.

  (copy and paste this sign next to the first option if you agree: ✓)”

4. If you agree on the price and terms, please copy and paste this sign “✓” next to the first option like this:

“✓ –  I agree on the price and terms. Please send me the payment request.”,  and send us the email back.

  1. If you do not agree on the price and terms, simply do not answer
  2. In case you agree, we will send you a payment request for the exact price by PayPal so you can proceed to pay. (You do not need to have a PayPal account for that).
  3. Once your payment is confirmed, we will send your text back with the corresponding corrections. Ready!

How to make a quotation request for translation 

To ask for a quotation request, please follow these steps.

  1. Make sure you are registered so we can contact you easily. You can register here.
  2. Send us an email with your text attached and the kind of translation you want (translatemate.eu@gmail.com). You can use this sample email: sample email for translation.
    1. If your text is too big you can send us a sample page. We will calculate the prices following exactly the same format of the page you provide us: Font, font size, line spacing, etc. (see warnings summarised here).

3. We will count the words, check the type of text and we will send you an estimated budget. It will look like that:

“Hi Peter:

Your text has 150 words and you need a standard translation from Spanish to English.

Your translation will cost 9 €, (taxes not included). If you pay outside Spain you will be charged extra 0,04 € on payment fees. That makes:

5. We will send you a payment request for the exact price by PayPal so you can proceed to pay.
